I switched the other way (Twitter->Jaiku) a few months back,
and at that time Jaiku felt much more responsive than Twitter. And
fully-featured. The latter is still true, even.
Come on, Jaiku team, finish whatever you're doing and open up
registration!
I've been using Twitter primarily for months, Jaiku as a Twitter
feed reader... I've noticed that Jaiku indexes faster on search
engines if your boasting blog posts, but the errors are ridiculous
on Jaiku...
An increase in number of fetched feeds has been slowing down the
site recently. We'll be cleaning up the database and doing various
other actions to speed things up over the next week. Hang in
there!
