What is the future of Jaiku and Mauku? Is it still worth all the work to develop Mauku, or has Jaiku too much problems with API to continue?

Wow, totally viable question, but I can totally understand that
when the API gows screwy how that just messes with your UX
aims.
Would be nice to hear an office from Google/Jaiku answer here as
to what can happen; but that sounds in some respects like something
you'd hear personally.
i do not know anything about the API but I can say that Mauku is
my preferred way to Jaiku. Wish I had a desktop app like it for
when not using my tablet.
Does anyone know why Jaiku is still locked and small? It was
acquired by the Gauth quite some-time-ago, and it's still
closed-off. Most of my friends use Twitter; on top of it's easy
account setup, it's got a lot of AIR apps, web
apps, the userbase and extra utilities.
Yeah, I'm quite envious of all the cool web and desktop apps
Twitter has behind it. It's agony waiting for these issues to be
fixed for Jaiku. In a different thread I posted about FriendFeed
and why Scoble prefers it over Jaiku, despite Jaiku having a lot of
the same features. At the end of the thread, @malach posted some of his concerns
about Jaiku that made me really disappointed. Granted, they're not
confirmed fact, just his impression, but it is distressing if this
